A seasonal planting log.
Plant lily bulbs deep, roughly three times their height, in soil that drains well. A handful of grit under each bulb stops rot in a wet winter.
Tall Orientals need support before they need it. Put canes in at planting time so you do not spear the bulb later.
Snip the anthers on cut flowers indoors; the pollen stains cloth and is harmful to cats.
